According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)’s Financial Tracking Service (FTS), donors have committed/contributed US$454.4 million of humanitarian assistance to Sudan since the start of 2016.
The United States (US) is currently the largest donor, providing US$222 million, which makes up just under half (49%) of all reported funding so far in 2016.
Sudan has received US$390 million through the 2016 Sudan Humanitarian Response plan (HRP), accounting for 41% of the appeal’s US$952 million requirements.
Sudan is currently the largest recipient of funds from the Central Emergency Response Fund in 2016, receiving US$24.6 million through both the rapid response (72% of the funding) and underfunded emergency (28% of the funding) windows.
